Changing your cPanel password is a critical step to ensure the security of your account. You should change your password as soon as you receive your hosting account credentials, and any time you are unsure if your password has been compromised.

We strongly recommend using a password manager to protect your account credentials and generating a random password from your password manager. Unique passwords should be used for each account you own so that a compromise of one account does not impact other accounts. |
Changing your cPanel Password
To change your cPanel password, first login to your cPanel account. Once signed on:
- Scroll to the Preferences section and click Password & Security
- Enter your old password
- Enter a new, strong password
- Confirm your new password
- Click the Change your password now! button
