Notice: Our policies do not cover account compromise due to a compromised password. It is the customer's responsibility to protect their account credentials. We will make every effort to restore your website in the event of a compromise but do not guarantee our capability to do so. Additionally, compromised accounts are subject to immediate suspension pending investigation and remediation. Fees may apply for restoration or remediation related to compromised account credentials. |
Pre-Requisites
In order to setup two-factor authentication, you will need an authenticator app (such as Google authenticator) or a password manager with the ability to store TOTP/Google Authenticator type second-factors.
Steps
First, ensure you are logged into cPanel. Then:
- From the cPanel homepage, scroll to the Security section and click "Two-Factor Authentication"
- Click "Set Up Two-Factor Authentication"
- Follow the setup instructions on your screen
